How to Remove a Stain

I have always been good at removing stains, but now as a mom, this skill has become a invaluable. The key is to act fast – and stay away from the dryer! Here are a bunch of tricks that often work on common troublemakers:

Ink – Hairspray.

Gum – Ice.

Wine –  Seltzer

Oil – Dish washing liquid.  Saturate the spot, let it soak then wash in the machine.

Spit-up – Oxi-Clean (Helpful Hint:  avoid wearing black if you have a baby six months or younger).

Blood – Hydrogen peroxide.  Always test a small corner of the fabric first and acting quickly is critical here.

A couple of other biggies:  Grass – soak the item in detergent for a few hours before tossing it in the machine.

And for almost anything else – baby wipes.  Especially in a pinch – they work like magic! I’m not sure why that is, but I’m not asking questions – they’re a lifesaver.  I would consider carrying them even if you don’t have a baby!
